Re-branding Jesus :: Brown Jesus
Here is the description of the re-branding effort:
The brand image of the client, born in a manger in the Middle East, has been slowly blanched via localized rebrands. Brown Jesus is an ongoing public-awareness campaign striving to reclaim what was most likely the true color of Jesus’ skin.
And the new design:

I like the tongue in cheek client description and the use of a design to provoke some thought about the branding of Jesus in our culture. I got the text from here and the wall paper image from the creator Steve Barreto (HT: Marina).
Hmmmm… what does my brand of Jesus look like? As a brand, does it effectively encapsulate all of the products and services that I receive from Him? I think it is striking that we have turned Jesus into a brand (a less than favorable brand in many places).
